REPORTS TO:          Lead Design Engineer

About you

To join our team as our Electric Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer you must have:

  • A Third Level qualification and a high degree of knowledge in Automotive Electrical Engineering

  • A well-developed understanding of engineering principles (Mechanical and Electrical) and EV powertrain systems

  • Experience with developing BEV and/or HEV powertrain systems

  • In depth knowledge of EV systems integration

  • Experience working with Commercial Vehicle OEM’s

  • A high level of competence in planning and executing testing activities, analysing data and reporting findings in a clear and succinct manner

  • Knowledge of automotive communications ( CAN, Flex Ray, LIN, Ethernet) and application tools (Vector and Peak etc)

  • Demonstrable experience in the use of 3D Engineering design software (Solid Works/Creo/Catia)


  • Experience of battery duty cycle optimisation

  • Willing to undertake any training for position as required

  • Able and willing to work overtime when required

  • Based within a commutable distance from our site in Antrim

About you 


  • Working alongside the design team on the technical development of production and assembly specifications for a new range of bespoke modular builds

  • Working alongside the design team on bespoke client project documentation incl. detailed drawing sets for production, assembly, and installation.

  • Working alongside the workshop production teams on technical advice and assistance.

  • Creation of all material cut lists and or component(s) for workshop production and assembly.

  • Managing and maintaining CAD drawings and technical documentation.

  • Input at site surveys may occasionally be required.

To join our team as our Architectural Technologist you must have:


  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

  • Proficient in professional CAD package for production. Solidworks (essential), Revit (desirable)

  • Have high degree understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques.

  • Ability to easily understand and interpret information from architect/designers’ drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.

  • A resourceful, optimistic nature with great care and attention who enjoys a challenge, open to all aspects of projects with a hands-on attitude.

  • Have an understanding of current building regulations

Developing lightweight cost-effective solutions, working with various materials to improve performance, advance technologies and products whilst minimising our carbon footprint. Generating processing techniques and engineering assembly strategies to enable the manufacture of specialised vehicle & other industry sector parts for use in a range applications.


The Candidate: - Should be able to:

  • Provide technical design solutions to specifications and requirements.

  • Work within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the technical design is delivered in-line with the aesthetic and user requirements.

  • Lead the design of new parts, from modelling to manufacture.

  • Liaise with all departments, from Product Development to Manufacturing; to include suppliers.

  • Lead several projects at a time.

  • Be proactive in the continuous improvement of material and processes.

  • Tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances.

  • Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved across the group business.

  • Apply rigorous quality management principles and processes.


Background /Experience: -


  • Engineering Degree or proven relevant experience.

  • At least 3+ years' progressively job-related experience within a engineering manufacturing design and product development environment.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of 3D-CAD packages.

  • Self-starter with the ability to demonstrate a mechanical technical expertise.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrable analytical thinking & business insight.


  • Experience of lightweight and sustainable Composite’s technology using carbon fibres, honeycombs, alternative sustainable raw materials, etc.

  • Familiarity with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of mechanical structures and assemblies

  • Experience of using Creo / Pro-E
